Alternative Peer Group Las Vegas - an introduction!
There is No Hero in Heroin (TINHIH) Presents
A new, innovated after school program for youth
There is No Hero in Heroin (TINHIH) is a Las Vegas based 501c3 non-profit organization that has developed and opened the Alternative Peer Group (APG). APG is a drop-in center for teens suffering from substance use disorder. This after school/summer program is driven by peer mentors that provide recovery support services and healthy time management life skills. Programs such as painting, dance, yoga, recovery related meetings and family activities are all part of each day’s activities.

APGLV offers a nature based therapeutic service known as Equine Therapy which incorporates horses into the therapeutic process. People engage in activities such as grooming, feeding, and leading a horse while being supervised by a mental health professional to develop skills such as emotional regulation, self-confidence, and responsibility.
